Boardmasters Festival 2021

Covers and Linings are excited to have been able to supply Boardmasters Festival 2021 with nearly 40 tents and 2000 square metres of flooring for this year’s event.

The 2021 event is much anticipated following the cancellation of the event in 2019 due to bad weather and the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions leading to another cancellation in 2020.

From the first meeting on the 23^rd of June 2021, Covers and Linings were able to get the kit to site for the 29^th of July ready for installation to begin, just five weeks after the initial meeting.  As you know this is usually a 6-month process but with the late announcement from the government that festivals were able to go ahead, time was very short to get everything in place and Covers and Linings were happy to help.

About Boadmasters Festival

Boardmasters Festival is a five-day event held annually in Cornwall each August.  Founded in 1981 as a surfing competition the event grew in 2005 to include live music as well as surfing and skateboarding competitions. The event takes place across two locations – Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay.  The Surf, Skate and BMX Competitions take place at Fistral Beach while Watergate Bay hosts the music arena along with the festival camping.
