Crestwood Community School

The Client

Crestwood Community School is a secondary school in Eastleigh, Hampshire.  The school opened in 1982 at Shakespeare Road and 2016 it expanded to include a new campus at Cherbourg Road, meaning that the school now operates across two sites.  In total the school can house 1450 students from Year 7 through to Year 11.

The Brief

As the UK entered the first stage of leaving lockdown last summer and secondary schools were looking to start bringing their students back, Crestwood College were excited to be able to welcome students back to their school too.  However, during the autumn term pupils needed to get out of the classroom for a break but due to bad weather, they weren’t always able to go outside.  Due to Covid restrictions there were no suitable indoor areas big enough to use.  Crestwood Community School approached Covers and Linings to ask them if they would be able to provide a temporary solution to enable to children to have a break from the classroom.

The Solution

Covers and Linings erected marquees on the school field at each school to enable to pupils to have break out space out of the classroom.  The marquess were divided into three to allow year bubble groups to use them at the same time.
